Governor Adeleke Receives Unanimous Re-Election Endorsement from Atakunmosa East Council of Obas

The Atakunmosa East Local Government Traditional Council has unanimously endorsed the re-election of Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke while hosting members of the Imole Campaign Council (TICC) ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

Speaking on behalf of the traditional institution, Oba (Dr.) Richard Adebayo Faforiji, the Alamuye of Amuye-Faforiji, commended Governor Adeleke for his remarkable achievements and people-oriented governance, praising him for promoting peace, preserving human dignity and ensuring his party shuns political violence despite provocations.

Oba Oyebade Samson Kehinde Oyeleye, the Ogboni of Ipole-Ijesa and Chairman of the Atakunmosa East Local Government Traditional Council, conveyed the council's unanimous endorsement, citing genuine confidence in Governor Adeleke. He quoted a Yoruba proverb — "Ajanaku kọjá, mo rí nkan fìrì; tá a bá rí erin, ká sọ pé a rí erin" — explaining that when greatness is evident, it must be acknowledged.

Responding, Governor Adeleke reaffirmed that his political philosophy is rooted in peace, justice, development and service to the people, emphasising that politics should never be driven by violence but by the collective desire to improve the lives of citizens.

The governor assured the traditional rulers that every ongoing project initiated by his administration would be completed, with many more impactful projects to be initiated during his second term.

"I sincerely appreciate your love, confidence and endorsement. I assure you that, by the grace of God, I will do even more for the people of Atakumosa East, Ijesaland and the entire state when re-elected on August 15, 2026," the Governor stated.
