Strengthening Healthcare: Resident Doctors Applaud Gov Adeleke
The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors commends Governor Adeleke for implementing PAT, Specialist Allowance, MRTF, Annual Leave Bonus and Accoutrement Allowance for health workers, as Osun ranks first in the South West for primary healthcare in 2024 and 2025 and fifth nationally for public hospital efficiency.
Governor Ademola Adeleke has expressed gratitude to resident doctors in Nigeria for acknowledging his achievements in the health sector, pledging to push further on strengthening healthcare delivery and enhancing health workers' welfare in his second term.
The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) applauded Governor Adeleke for the implementation of PAT, Specialist Allowance (SA), 2026 MRTF, Annual Leave Bonus, and Accoutrement Allowance, noting that "these laudable interventions exemplify visionary leadership and a genuine investment in the healthcare workforce."
Governor Adeleke said his administration values the immeasurable importance of Resident Doctors and other health workers for sustaining effective healthcare delivery in the state, a mindset that has driven several welfare policies and approvals.
The governor noted that the administration's special attention to health workers has yielded positive results, with Osun winning the Primary Health Care Challenge for both 2024 and 2025, placing first in the South West, and recently ranking fifth nationally for efficiency in public hospital services and deliveries.
"I cherish this acknowledgement of our commitment to the health sector from the National Association of Residents Doctors (NARD). This will encourage us to do more especially for the secondary and the tertiary health sectors," the Governor stated.
