TICC Exposes Dangerous Collusion Between Osun Police Commissioner and AMBO DG to Raise False Alarm
The Imole Campaign Council presents video evidence contradicting the Osun Police Command's narrative of a purported assassination attempt on AMBO Campaign DG Hon. Wole Oke, demanding the release of all unedited confessional statements and calling on the IGP and Police Service Commission to order an independent review of the compromised investigation.
The Imole Campaign Council has addressed the public following the emergence of video evidence that completely exposes the false narrative surrounding the purported assassination attempt on Hon. Wole Oke, the AMBO Campaign DG.
The video raises fundamental questions about the integrity of the investigation conducted by the Osun State Police Command under Mr Ibrahim Gotan, contradicts the public claims made during the parade of suspects, and strengthens the Council's long-held position that innocent Accord leaders were deliberately targeted for political reasons.
TICC demanded that the Commissioner of Police immediately release the complete, unedited confessional statements and all video recordings obtained from suspects — from the point of arrest to the conclusion of their interrogation — and explain why he publicly claimed that influential individuals were mentioned in the alleged plot while withholding the actual confessional statements from Nigerians.
"If the Commissioner of Police fails to make these materials public, Nigerians will be left with no choice than to conclude that the Osun State Police Commissioner has allowed himself to be used in a politically motivated attempt to smear innocent citizens and manipulate public opinion," the Council stated.
The Council called on the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Olatunji Disu, and the Police Service Commission to immediately intervene, order an independent review of the entire investigation, and ensure that any officer found to have compromised the integrity of the Force is held accountable.
TICC also revealed that information at its disposal indicates that Hon. Wole Oke is mounting pressure on the police to grant the suspect administrative bail — an apparent attempt to prevent the truth from emerging in open court. The Council demanded the suspect be arraigned before a competent court and the facts tested transparently in accordance with the law.
"With this video evidence of the confessional statement of the purported suspect, made available by spirited and conscientious Nigerians, the truth has begun to emerge, and we will resist any manipulative efforts to suppress it," the Council affirmed.
