33 Days to Osun Election: APC Yet to Visit Any Local Government to Present Its Programme — TICC

The Imole Campaign Council mocks the APC and its candidate Bola Oyebamiji for evading public scrutiny of campaign manifestos with 33 days to the August 15 election, contrasting their absence with Governor Adeleke's daily community engagements, project commissionings and verifiable delivery record across all parts of Osun State.

33 Days to Osun Election: APC Yet to Visit Any Local Government to Present Its Programme — TICC

The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has mocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) for gradually accepting the reality of its impending rejection at the polls on August 15, noting that the APC and its candidate Bola Oyebamiji are haunted by their horrible past governance record and recycled failed promises.

"Elections are won and lost on the weight of the records of those aspiring for the votes, and evidently, the APC and its candidate Bola Oyebamiji do not possess any credible records in governance that could canvass support of the people. With only a few days to the election, the AMBO campaign has literally abandoned the idea of engaging the people and articulating its plans," the Council stated.

TICC noted that the AMBO campaign owes the people of Osun State a responsibility to explain its priorities and provide measurable commitments — on security, investment promotion, environmental sustainability, social welfare, digital innovation and inclusive governance — issues that cannot be addressed through campaign slogans alone.

"The people want to know whether Bola Oyebamiji regrets his role in the maltreatment they suffered in the past and what he has in place to ensure such will never repeat itself. Under his supervision of the Osun public purse as Commissioner of Finance, workers and pensioners were made to go through undeserved pains while important projects were deliberately ignored."

The Council contrasted the APC's absence with Governor Adeleke's daily community engagements, noting that the governor continues to commission projects and reinforce hopes of more deliveries, having impacted lives across every part of Osun in three years through better welfare and strategic investment in public infrastructure.

"Governor Adeleke has salvaged Osun from the abyss that the misgovernance of the APC administration — of which Bola Oyebamiji was a partaker — led it to, and set it on the path of enviable progress and prosperity. We have every confidence that Osun people will stick with a government that has delivered for them," the Council affirmed.
